KAWARTHA LAKES-A 44-year-old Lindsay man is facing charges after an officer allegedly observed him driving erratically.
On Sunday, September 10th at 6:50pm while on patrol a Kawartha Lakes Police officer observed a vehicle driving erratically on Lindsay Street South. Police say the officer attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver sped away before coming to a stop on Melbourne Street East. While speaking with the driver the officer reported observing signs of impairment and placed the driver under arrest. During the investigation, the officer located open alcohol inside the vehicle. As a result of the investigation, a 44-year-old Lindsay man has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol, operation while impaired – 80 plus, operation while prohibited and one Highway Traffic Act infraction.
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on October 19, 2023.Â
