Heavy Police Presence On Bessie Avenue Near Bobcaygeon

KAWARTHA LAKES-A number of OPP officers descended on a home on Bessie Avenue North in Trent Lakes near Bobcaygeon this afternoon.

It began at approximately 1:30 pm with reports of a barricaded man. That has not been confirmed by police. Witnesses in the area say the Emergency Response Team is on the scene as well as a number of uniformed officers. There are conflicting reports about the man exiting the home and police leaving the area.

Peterborough County OPP told Kawartha 411 that there was nothing they could release at this time.

We will update this story if we get any information from police.
