PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP officers were on marine patrol on Crystal Lake on July 22 when just before 3:30 pm officers stopped two personal watercraft and charges were laid.
26-year-old Justin Hepburn of Waterdown and 30-year-old Matthew Leslie of Burlington have been charged with Operation while impaired – alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Both accused had their driver’s licences suspended for 90 days.
They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 29, 2023.
“The Peterborough County OPP reminds motorists and boaters to plan ahead when consuming alcohol. Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impact your ability to make sound judgements. If you see a possible impaired operator on our waterways, please help keep our waterways safe and call 911 to report it.” said police.
