KAWARTHA LAKES-A 20-year-old Lindsay man is facing charges after a parked vehicle was struck on Sunday.
Police say at approximately 11:50 pm Kawartha Lakes Police officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Mary Street West in Lindsay. A vehicle travelling on Mary Street West struck a parked vehicle according to police.
During the investigation, the officer observed open alcohol in the vehicle and while speaking with the driver signs of impairment were observed according to police.
As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old Lindsay man has been charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and one infraction each in contravention of the Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence and Control Act. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on August 31, 2023.Â
