KAWARTHA LAKES-The driver of a motorcycle that crashed on Little Britain Road was injured and is facing charges.
On July 13, the Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Little Britain Road near Ridgewood Road that involved a motorcycle. Upon arrival the operator of the motorcycle was located nearby after being ejected from the bike according to police. The driver was transported to a local hospital prior to being transported to a Toronto area trauma centre with serious injuries.
As a result of the investigation the driver of the motorcycle, a 33-year-old from Lindsay, was charged with Operation while Impaired – alcohol or drugs, Operate motor vehicle while Prohibited x 3, failing to comply with a release order, Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle and numerous Highway Traffic Act offences. No name was released.
