City Of Kawartha Lakes Woman Facing Impaired Driving Charges In Peterborough

PETERBOROUGH-A 19-year-old City of Kawartha Lakes woman is facing impaired charges after an incident early Saturday morning in Peterborough.

At approximately 1:00am on July 8, 2023, officers say they were called to the King Street parkade by Peterborough Paramedics about a female unconscious in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Upon arrival, the female was awake according to police.

As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old City of Kawartha Lakes woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court July 25, 2023. Peterborough Police no longer release the names of most people charged with crimes.
