Police Recover Stolen Vehicle In Lindsay Before Owner Realizes It’s Gone

KAWARTHA LAKES-An officer of patrol in Lindsay recovered a stolen vehicle before the owner realized it was gone.

On Monday, May 29 at 3:50 am, police conducted a traffic stop to investigate after observing a vehicle being operated in a suspicious manner on Heritage Way in Lindsay. Police say during the investigation, police learned that the vehicle was stolen and was not yet reported to police.

A 39-year-old Lindsay man has been charged with theft of motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and one charge each in contravention of the Highway traffic Act and Liquor Licence and Control Act.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on July 6, 2023.
