Charges Laid After Man Allegedly Confronted Customer Entering Lindsay Business

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 59-year-old Lindsay man is facing charges after an incident Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to a business on Kent Street West about a male being disruptive outside the store entrance at approximately 9:50am on Tuesday, May 9.

Upon arrival officers learned that the male had allegedly confronted a customer entering the business, making them uncomfortable. When staff assisted the customer, the male made threats toward them according to police. The man was located a short distance away and was taken into custody without incident. 

As a result of the investigation, a 59-year-old Lindsay man was arrested and charged with uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on June 15, 2023.
