Peterborough Police Issue 40 Tickets During First Week Of Distracted Driving Campaign

PETERBOROUGH-The Peterborough Police Service continues to ask you to “Keep Your Eyes” on the road.

In the first week of its distracted driving campaign 40 tickets were issued to motorists for distracted driving.

Help keep your roads safe by:

  • Never text while driving
  • Pull over to use your phone
  • Avoid tasks that may take your attention away from driving

The campaign will continue throughout the month of May with traffic and frontline officers conducting speed enforcement and watching for distracted drivers in high-traffic volume areas and residential neighbourhoods.
