Impaired Driving Charge Laid After Single Vehicle Collision In Selwyn Township

PETERBOROUGH-A 68-year-old man is facing charges after a single vehicle collision in Selwyn Township on Sunday.

Members of the Peterborough CountyOPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Woodland Drive shortly after 5:00 p.m. on April 30th. The complainant reported that a vehicle left the roadway coming to rest on their front lawn. The driver was not injured according to police.

Bruce Stewart of Selwyn Township, was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired-alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on June 6, 2023.
