KAWARTHA LAKES-IThe Grove Theatre in Fenelon Falls has announced an expanded and exciting programming lineup for its 2023 season.
Running from June to September, theatre, comedy, cabaret, and music will grace the stage at The Grove’s world-class amphitheatre, including two mainstage theatre productions The Comedy of Errors and Million Dollar Quartet.
“Featuring national superstars and homegrown talent, we are very happy to be presenting an exceptional lineup for our returning patrons and new audiences alike,” said Sean Cox, Co-Artistic Director, The Grove Theatre. “The cornerstone of our season is in rep productions of Shakespeare’s slapstick farce The Comedy of Errors and Jukebox Musical Million Dollar Quartet and we are thrilled to be able to expand our theatre offering this season with these two exceptional productions.” The series of one-night-only events remains robust and eclectic, including headliners Jim Cuddy, Measha Brueggergosman-Lee, and Bruce McCulloh, comedy legend Elvira Kurt, family-friendly programming, and performances from Ali Hassan, Good Lovelies, Alex Cuba, local favourites Julian Taylor and Madison Kozak, and more.
Highlights include Jim Cuddy, founding member of Blue Rodeo on September 10th. Cuddy has written songs that helped put Canadian popular music on the map. The Jim Cuddy Trio perform an intimate night of music at The Grove and end our second season with a bang.
North of Nashville with Lindsay native Madison Kozak will be at The Grove on June 16th. Kozak, now based in Nashville, brings her compelling voice and country music to The Grove along with guests Griffen Palmer and more. Enjoy an evening of stories and music under the stars with these incredible up-and-coming country musicians.
And a Family Fun Day-African Circus Showcase on July 29th with an afternoon of incredible circus acts, while celebrating African culture and dance. Featuring Abebe and Rabin. You’ll be treated to incredible balancing acts, mesmerizing juggling displays, and impossible acrobatic feats. Fun for the entire family!
