35-Year-Old Driver Airlifted To Trauma Centre After Crash On Highway 28

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP and emergency crews are currently at the scene of a serious single-vehicle motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 28 between Long Lake Road and Fire Route 47.

The 35-year-old driver suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a trauma centre according to police.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Highway 28 remains closed between Apsley and Northey’s Bay Road while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene.

The Highway 28 closure will remain in place for several hours while police investigate.
