KAWARTHA LAKES-Two people have been charged in connection to a break and enter at a local business.
On March 29, 2023, at approximately 3:20 a.m., OPP officers were dispatched to a break and enter in progress at a business in Coboconk. As part of the investigation, officers conducted a vehicle stop, and an investigation revealed the vehicle contained stolen property and break-in tools according to police.
56-year-old Michael Winn of Oshawa and 42-year-old Carmine Porco of Courtice were charged with Possession of Break-In Instruments, Mischief under $5,000 and Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence.
The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on April 27, 2023.
