Omemee Paramedic Wins $100,000 With Instant Crossword Tripler

KAWARTHA LAKES- Shai Minaker of Omemee is celebrating after winning a $100,000 top prize with INSTANT CROSSWORD TRIPLER.

Shai, a 27-year-old paramedic, said this ticket was a Christmas gift from her dad – from 2021! “When my dad gave me my CROSSWORD TRIPLER ticket as a Christmas gift last year (2022), I realized I still had a ticket from the year before I didn’t play,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “I played this one last and didn’t realize how many words I got until I scanned the ticket.”

Shai said she was in complete shock and disbelief. “The excitement didn’t set in until I had the ticket validated at the store and OLG called. I felt nauseous with all the excitement. It’s an out-of-body experience,” she said.

She says she plans to take a honeymoon with her partner, complete some home renovations, pay some bills and save her winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Parklaine Variety on Park Street in Peterborough.
