Window Smashed, Cash Taken From Kent Street West Business

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating after a business on Kent Street West had a window broken and cash stolen.

Police say on Sunday February 19, 2023 at 6:22AM a citizen, reported the front window of a Kent Street West business was broken. Sometime throughout the night, the front window of the business was smashed with a brick. Unknown suspects entered, taking a quantity of cash before leaving.

The Sweet Kitchen on Kent Street West took to Facebook on Sunday to say they had a break-in. The business had recently opened in downtown Lindsay.

“So, I guess we’ve officially been “welcomed” to the downtown.” said the post along with a photo of broken glass and a brick.

Police say physical evidence has been gathered from the scene for examination.
