PETERBOROUGH-The Peterborough Police Service is looking for a suspect in connection with scary incident at a convenience store Sunday evening.
At approximately 6:00pm on February 20, 2023, officers were called to the business in the Monaghan Road and Chamberlain Street area. Police say a man had walked into the store, pointed a firearm at the clerk and fired before fleeing the area. During the investigation,it was determined that the weapon was a pellet gun and that nothing was taken from the business. Police say the clerk was struck in the face, however, did not require medical attention.
The suspect is described as:
- White male
- Thin build
- Approximately 5’8
- Wearing:
- Dark camouflage jacket
- Dark with white pattern bandana covering his face
- Dark pants
- Red running shoes
