OPP Investigating Fatal Snowmobile Crash In Haliburton County

HALIBURTON HIGHLANDS-Haliburton Highlands OPP is investigating a fatal snowmobile collision in the Township of Algonquin Highlands in Haliburton County.

On February 10, 2023, at approximately 10:40 p.m., officers and emergency services responded to a report of a single snowmobile collision into a tree on Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Club (OFSC) Trail B103 in the Township of Algonquin Highlands. The lone rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The deceased has been identified as a 37-year-old male of Lancaster, New York, United States.

OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists are assisting with the investigation.
