KAWARTHA LAKES-Peterborough County OPP responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle that was located in the parking lot of a Bridgenorth business on Ward Street at approximately 8:30am yesterday morning. Police say it was determined that the driver was under the influence of illicit drugs. Cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl during a search of the vehicle according to police.
28-year-old Lillian Williams of Peterborough, was arrested and charged with:
• Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs
• Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking-methamphetamine
• Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid
• Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking-cocaine
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on March 16, 2023.
