Bancroft Resident Charged After Report Of Man Breaking Into Vehicles

KAWARTHA LAKES-Bancroft OPP arrested and charged one person after responding to a report of a male breaking into vehicles on Station Street in the Town of Bancroft.

Officers arrived on scene and the investigation led to an arrest on January 4, 2023, shortly after 11:00 a.m.

41-year-old Elwood Ostroskie from Bancroft, has been charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences:

Theft of a motor vehicle

Possession of Methamphetamine

Failing to comply with probation – two counts

The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on January 5, 2023 in relation to the criminal charges.
