Lindsay Man Charged With Impaired Driving After Crash On Queen Street

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay man is facing impaired driving charges after a crash on Queen Street.

On November 26 at 1:20PM Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Queen Street in Lindsay. Police say when officers arrived, they learned that the driver of a vehicle travelling eastbound on Queen Street struck a parked car. Through investigation, the driver of the vehicle was arrested for impaired driving. 32-year-old Joseph Overwijk of Lindsay has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

The accused will attend the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on January 5, 2023.
