Lindsay Resident Charged With Impaired Driving

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 33-year-old Lindsay resident is facing charges after allegedly being found asleep behind the wheel.

Police say on November 22, 2022 at 8:54AM officers received a call from a concerned citizen reporting a male passed out in a running in a Kent Street East parking lot. Officers located the vehicle, while speaking with the driver they observed signs of impairment and located drugs inside the vehicle according to police.

The driver was arrested for impaired driving. As a result of the investigation, Jesse Thomson of Lindsay has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, failure or refusal to comply with demand and possession of a schedule I substance.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on January 5, 2023.
