OPP Investigating Serious Crash On County Road 36 In Dunsford

KAWARTHA LAKES-Two people were taken to hospital, one with possible life-altering injuries after a crash on County Road 36 this afternoon.

City of Kawartha Lakes OPP was called to the scene at a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sturgeon Road and County Road 36 in Dunsford at approximately 3:30 pm .

Two people were transported to hospital, one of the injured has been transferred to a Toronto area Trauma Center with possible life-altering injuries according to police.

The intersection of County Road 36 and Sturgeon Road will remain closed for several hours, while members of the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist conduct their investigation. Detours are set up at Dunsford Road and County Road 24/Community Centre Road.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crimestoppers.
