PETERBOROUGH-A 29-year-old driver is facing multiple charges after a single-vehicle crash on Selwyn Road.
Peterborough County OPP responded to a collision on Selwyn Road at approximately 8:30am yesterday morning. Police say the vehicle entered the ditch while travelling at a high rate of speed. The driver was uninjured.
Aaron Livingston of Peterborough, was arrested and charged with:
• Operation while impaired-drugs
• Possession of a Schedule I substance-cocaine
• Obstruct peace officer
• Careless driving
• Drive motor vehicle-no licence
The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.
The Peterborough County OPP reminds motorists to plan ahead when consuming drugs. Use a designated driver, cab, public transit, or stay overnight.
