Traffic Stop In Lindsay Results In Impaired Driving Charges

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 30-year-old Woodville resident is facing charges after a traffic stop in Lindsay.

Police say on Wednesday, September 28 at 10:13 pm, while on patrol a Kawartha Lakes Police constable stopped a vehicle travelling on Russell Street West in Lindsay.

While speaking with the driver, the officer reported observing signs of impairment. Police say the driver was given an approved roadside screening device test and failed.

The driver was placed under arrest for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. 30-year-old Scott McKeown of Woodville has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on November 3, 2022.
