UPDATE: Charge Dismissed-Peterborough Massage Therapist Charged With Sexually Assaulting Client

UPDATE: THE CHARGE WAS DISMISSED ON SEPTEMBER 26.

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 33-year-old Peterborough man is facing a sexual assault charge after an incident at a local massage business.

Police say the victim attended a Peterborough business for a massage on September 15th.  It was reported to police that during the appointment the accused, employed as a registered massage therapist, allegedly sexually assaulted the victim.  On September 21, 2022, the accused attended the Peterborough Police Station.

As a result of the investigation 33-year-old Ryan Preston of Peterborough was arrested and charged with:

  • Sexual assault

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on October 6, 2022.

Police say the name of the accused is being released as Peterborough Police have concerns that there could be further victims.  Preston also recently worked as a registered massage therapist at a massage business in Windsor.

The Peterborough Police Service is requesting further victims to reach out to the police service where they currently live.
