KAWARTHA LAKES-An Oakwood man is facing charges after allegedly going on a wild ride on Saturday.
The Kawartha Lakes Police received a report of a possible impaired driver on Saturday, August 20 at approximately 3:15pm.
A concerned citizen told police they observed a vehicle driving in the ditch in the area of Monarch Road and Colborne Street West. The driver of the vehicle proceeded east on Colborne Street West, when it struck a vehicle stopped at the intersection of William Street North according to police.
49-year-old Jeffrey Murray of Oakwood has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and two charges in contravention of the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on September 29, 2022.Â
