Crews Called To Garage Fire On Hamilton Street

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Fire And Rescue crews were called to a fire on Hamilton Street in Lindsay on Saturday night at approximately 8 pm.

Deputy Fire Chief Cameron Smith told Kawartha 411 News the fire was in a detached garage. There is no word on the cause but the fire is not considered suspicious according to Smith. The fire was contained to the garage. Witnesses say a man was treated for injuries after appearing to run into the garage to retrieve something.

Damage is pegged at between $5-$10,000.
