Police Report Widespread Damage In Marmora, Madoc And Tweed Area After Possible Tornado Touches Down

KAWARTHA LAKES-The OPP says officers are responding to numerous calls of storm-related damage in Marmora, Madoc and along Highway 7 north of Tweed.

Police say there is significant damage to property and trees and hydro wires down. There are no reports of injuries at this time according to OPP.

Environment Canada had issued a tornado warning for the area at 8:30 this evening. Warnings and watches were issued throughout the day across the province including Kawartha Lakes.
