Two Arrests For Driving Impaired By Drugs In Lindsay In One Day

KAWARTHA LAKES-Two people are facing charges of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs after Kawartha Lakes Police were contacted by concerned members of the public in two separate incidents on July 4th, 2022.

In the first incident, police were contacted after a citizen allegedly observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner shortly after 1:00 pm on July 4th, 2022. Officers stopped the vehicle while it was travelling northbound on Angeline St. south in the town of Lindsay. Thirty-eight-year-old Adam Szydlowski of Lindsay is facing charges of operating a motor vehicle while his ability was impaired by alcohol or drugs and having care and control of a motor vehicle with cannabis readily available.

In the second incident, police were contacted after a male and female who had been allegedly observed passed out in the parking lot on William St. north got into a vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle as it attempted to leave the parking lot. Police say investigation of the female driver revealed that she was exhibiting signs of being impaired by drugs. As a result of the investigation, thirty-year-old Katrina Agelakoudis is facing a charge of operating a motor vehicle while her ability was impaired by alcohol or drugs.

Both will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, 440 Kent St. west, Lindsay, on August 11th, 2022
