Police Release Name Of 63-Year-Old Woman Who Died In Janetville Fire On May 27

KAWARTHA LAKES-The OPP has released the name of a woman who died in a house fire in Janetville in May.

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP along with Fire and EMS were dispatched to the fire on Pigeon Creek Road on May 27, 2022.

One person escaped without injury from the fire which took place at the residence on Pigeon Creek Road, another person did not make it out of the residence and was located deceased.

The deceased has been identified as Wendy Brown 63 years-of-age, of Janetville.

The fire has been deemed not suspicious and is being investigated by the Ontario Fire Marshal.
