KAWARTHA LAKES-Summer landfill hours have officially begun as of May 1. The Fenelon Landfill has re-opened to the public. A full list of summer hours is as follows:
Laxton/Digby Landfill
Thursday: 11am to 5pm
Sunday: 11am to 5pm
Eldon Landfill
Wednesday: 9am to 5pm
Saturday: 11am to 5pm
Sunday: 11am to 5pm
Somerville Landfill
Monday: 11am to 5pm (open regular hours on holiday Mondays *Except otherwise noted above in the landfill locations and hours of operation section.)
Friday: 11am to 5pm
Saturday: 11am to 5pm
Fenelon Landfill
Monday: 9am to 5pm (open regular hours on holiday Mondays *Except otherwise noted above in the landfill locations and hours of operation section.)
Wednesday: 9am to 5pm
Saturday: 9am to 5pm
Lindsay Ops
Monday: 8am to 5pm
Tuesday: 8am to 5pm
Wednesday: closed for waste dropoff, open for free compost and wood chip pickup
Thursday: 8am to 5pm
Friday: 8am to 5pm
Saturday: 8am to 3pm
When visiting landfills, please wear:
- Proper foot wear (certified safety foot wear is best)
- Pants and a shirt (bulky clothing may become hooked on items)
- Gloves
