OPP Investigating Theft Of Multiple Firearms From Bancroft Business

KAWARTHA LAKES-Bancroft OPP is investigating the theft of multiple firearms from a business in Bancroft.

Police say on April 16, 2022 shortly after 4:30 a.m., officers from the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a break and enter at a local business located on Highway 62 south in the Town of Bancroft. Investigation revealed that sometime between the hours of 3:30 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. on April 16, 2022, unknown suspect(s) broke into the business and stole multiple firearms according to police.

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this theft, or if anyone observed suspicious person(s) or vehicle(s) in the area should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
