Missing Buckhorn Man Found Deceased In Trent Lakes

KAWARTHA LAKES-Peterborough County OPP have located a deceased person in connection to a missing person investigation in Trent Lakes.

Police say on April 3, 2022, approximately 11:00 a.m., Peterborough County OPP responded after a deceased person was located in a field off Lakehurst Road near Six Foot Bay Road in Trent Lakes.

The deceased has been identified as Robert Ladouceur, 50-years-old of Buckhorn.

A post-mortem examination has been conducted and the death is being treated as suspicious at this time.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have any knowledge about the deceased’s activities leading up to his disappearance to contact police. Ladouceur was last seen alive in the Peterborough area on March 21, 2022.

The Peterborough County OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and with assistance from Central Region OPP Criminal Operations and OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Peterborough County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure web-tip at stopcrimehere.ca, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
