Impaired Driving Charges Laid After Vehicle Allegedly Plows Through A Backyard And Playground In Janetville

KAWARTHA LAKES-Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPPĀ arrested a driver who was allegedly found to be impaired after driving through a Park in Janetville.

At approximately 9:14 p.m. on December 12, 2021, officers responded after residents called police with concerns regarding a driver who drove through their backyard and the local playground according to police.

As a result of the investigation, the driver was identified, located and charged.

Scott Acton, 41 years-of-age, of Manvers Township has been charged with:

Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on DecemberĀ 30, 2021.
