24-Year-Old Local Man Killed After Being Hit By Vehicle On Division Road

PETERBOROUGH-A 24-year-old local man was killed after being hit by a vehicle last night on Division Road.

Members of the Peterborough County OPP and emergency crews attended a collision on Division Road that occurred at approximately 6:00pm Tuesday night.

Police say a vehicle travelling westbound on Division Road struck a pedestrian that had gotten off their motorcycle and was walking on the roadway. The victim has been transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

No other injuries were reported in the collision.

Division Road was closed between Drummond Line and Burnham Line while OPP members trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene.

The deceased has been identified as Christopher O’Brien of Douro-Dummer Township.
