KAWARTHA LAKES-A 54-year-old Lindsay man is facing impaired driving charges.
City of Kawartha Lakes Police say on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 9:52pm officers were called to an Angeline Street South address in Lindsay for an unwanted person. Prior to police arrival the individual, who was believed to be impaired had departed. He was witnessed getting into a vehicle and began driving away according to police. Officers arrived, and after conducting an investigation the driver was arrested.
54-year-old James Mitchell of Lindsay is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, operation while prohibited – legal restriction, possession of a controlled substance and with one contravention of the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on November 18, 2021.Â
