Alleged Attack At Lindsay Business Results In Charge Of Assault

KAWARTHA LAKES-An Oshawa man is facing an assault charged after an alleged attack inside a local business.

Police say on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 6:42am the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a disturbance that took place at a Highway 35 South business in Lindsay. Police were called to assist after one male attacked another, inside the business causing injuries requiring medical attention according to officers.

Through investigation it was learned, the males are known to each other. The accused fled the scene, officers located him nearby and placed him under arrest.

25-year-old Austin Abderrahman of Oshawa has been charged with assault. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on November 18, 2021.
