OPP Looking To Identify Suspects After Copper Stolen From Transfer Station In Trent Lakes

KAWARTHA LAKES-Members of the Peterborough County OPP have been called to investigate a break and enter to the transfer station on Crystal Lake Road in the Municipality of Trent Lakes.

Police say on September 22, 2021 at approximately 3:14pm, the transfer station was broken into and an unknown quantity of copper was stolen. Two alleged suspect and their vehicle were captured on video surveillance.

The first suspect is described as being male, Caucasian, approximately 60 years old, with a full grey beard, wearing a light coloured camouflage cap, blue sweater and dark pants.

The second suspect is described as being female, Caucasian, approximately 55 years old, brown hair in a ponytail, wearing a black shirt and black pants.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as being a dark SUV suspected to be a newer model, Dodge Durango, possibly Citadel Edition based on obscured badging and wheels as well as roof racks.

Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the identification of the suspects. Police urge the public to call in tips on this case, or others, to the Peterborough County OPP at 705-742-0401, the non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122 or to Crime Stoppers.
