Little Britain Man Charged With Threatening To Kill Police Officers

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Little Britain man has been charged with threatening to kill a police officers.

Police say on September 19, 2021 at 2:11am, City of Kawartha Lakes Police received a report of a suspected impaired driver on Angeline Street South in Lindsay. Officers located the alleged vehicle and while speaking with the driver observed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest according to police.

Police say during the arrest the male threatened to kill officers and while being secured, kicked one of the officers.

29-year-old Andrew Kalinack of Little Britain has been charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand, uttering threats and assaulting a peace officer. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on October 10, 2021.
