Fenelon Falls Man Charged With Assault With A Weapon After Victim Left In Serious Condition

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Fenelon Falls man is facing charges after an investigation into an alleged assault on September 2 in Lindsay.

Members of the Kawartha Lakes Police Criminal Investigation Branch, with the assistance of video surveillance investigators have identified three suspects.

On Tuesday September 7, 2021 officers located and arrested 37-year-old Jason Cogar of Fenelon Falls. Cogar is charged with break, enter dwelling house, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and robbery.

The accused was held in custody to attend a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.  This investigation is ongoing as investigators attempt to locate two additional suspects.

The victim remains in hospital in serious condition according to police.
