KAWARTHA LAKES-A man was trapped in the mud/quicksand for hours at a cement yard in Sunderland on Saturday night.
Oshawa Fire Services Technical Rescue Team were called to the CBM Sunderland Yard on Regional Rd 13 to assist Brock Fire after a male was trapped for several hours in mud/quicksand.

Witnesses say the male was walking when he became trapped on the property and quickly sank at approximately 7pm.
Brock Fire, Oshawa Fire Services, Region of Durham Paramedics, and Durham Regional Police worked for hours and the male was extricated safely at 2:30 in the morning.
There’s no word on injuries.
