Woman Wanted On Warrant In Durham Region Facing Drug Charges In Peterborough

PETERBOROUGH-A 34-year-old Peterborough woman is facing a drug trafficking charge after an incident Tuesday afternoon.

Police say at approximately 4:45pm on July 6, 2021, officers were called to a residence in the Brock and Aylmer Street area about a neighbour dispute. Upon arrival officers learned one of the people involved was also wanted on a warrant issued in Durham Region for operation while impaired and fail to appear according to Peterborough Police.

34-year-old Leslie Coughlin of Peterborough was taken into custody on the warrant.  During the arrest officers allegedly located 20 grams of fentanyl along with drug paraphernalia.  As a result, Coughlin was further charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on July 27, 2021.
