KAWARTHA LAKES-A 24 year old Lindsay man is facing charges after reports of a disturbance involving a firearm in Lindsay.
Police say on Saturday May 15, 2021 at 4:25pm the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service received multiple reports of a disturbance involving a firearm in the area of Lindsay Street South and Mary Street. Witnesses reported a male waving a firearm around while involved in a confrontation with the victim sitting in a vehicle. During the confrontation the suspect allegedly pointed the handgun at the driver, causing the driver to flee the area. As the victim drove away the male fired the gun at the vehicle, shattering the rear window according to police. The male fled the area on foot, police located and arrested the male a short distance away.
During the investigation officers say they recovered a pellet pistol.Â
24-year-old Jeremy Hall is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, imitation firearm – use while committing offence and mischief. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on June 24, 2021.
