Students From IE Weldon Secondary School Protest After Teacher Allegedly Penalized For Speaking Out About His Mental Health

KAWARTHA LAKES-Students from IE Weldon Secondary School In Lindsay took to the streets to protest today after a teacher was allegedly paced on leave for speaking about his mental health during class.

Students say Greer Pedoe is an amazing teacher who has helped numerous students feel comfortable about their own metal health issues because he is open about his own mental health. However, recently some parents heard about Pedoe speaking out during class and they complained to the board. Students say the board placed the teacher on leave. It’s unclear exactly what was said.
