KAWARTHA LAKES-Three people from Brantford and St Catherine’s are facing multiple charges after drug investigation in the Peterborough area.
An investigation led by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) resulted in three suspects being arrested and charged on May 7, 2021 with drug offences related to the trafficking of drugs in the Peterborough area.
Police say the accused were arrested after a traffic stop was conducted on Lansdowne Street by the Peterborough Police Service Emergency Response Team (ERT). Officers seized crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, cash and other drug paraphernalia during the investigation.
Jordan Fritsch (age 22) of Brantford, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-cocaine
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-methamphetamine
• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on June 22, 2021
Tessi HILLS (age 21) of St. Catherines, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-cocaine
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-methamphetamine
• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on June 22, 2021.
Joshua SHIRLEY (age 24) of St. Catherines, Ontario was arrested and charges with:
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-cocaine
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-methamphetamine
• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
The accused was held in custody and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice for a bail hearing on May 7, 2021.
