Oshawa Resident Charged After Kawartha Lakes OPP Officer Locates Vehicle In The Ditch

KAWARTHA LAKES-A single vehicle collision resulted in the arrest of the 19-year-old driver from Oshawa.

Police say at 10:30p.m. on April 26, 2021 an OPP officer responded to the Kagawong Road and Glenarm Road area and located a vehicle in the ditch. The ensuing investigation led to the arrest of the driver. Dominyk Scala, 19 years of age, of Oshawa, was charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – cocaine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

The accused party is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on May 27, 2021.
