14 New Coronavirus Cases In Kawartha Lakes Today, 6 Patients In Hospital

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge (HKPR)District Health Unit is reporting 14 new cases of Coronavirus in Kawartha Lakes today.

There are currently 46 active cases of the virus in Kawartha Lakes. To date there’s been a total of 60 cases of a variant of concern in the City.  An average of 563 tests are being done daily within the HKPR area with a 2.6% positivity rate. That’s much lower than the provincial positivity rate which is hovering around 8.5%.

Six patients are currently admitted at Ross Memorial Hospital with five of them being transfers from out of town according to hospital officials.

A total of 30,052 vaccines have been administered within the HKPR district with 25,842 first doses and 2210 second doses.
