Crash West Of Oakwood Leads To Impaired Driving Charge

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay man is facing charges after a crash west of Oakwood.

Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded yesterday, February 1, 2021 at approximately 5:30pm to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 7 just west of Oakwood.

Police say minor injuries were reported to both involved drivers. Following an investigation, 37 year old David Shedden of Lindsay was arrested and charged with Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on March 25, 2021.
