KAWARTHA LAKES-The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting the fourth Coronavirus death in less than a week in Kawartha Lakes. That brings the total number of deaths locally to 36.
There’s also been two more people hospitalized with the virus, meaning there is now 7 patients in hospital in Lindsay with Coronavirus. One is on a ventilator.
There is now 38 active cases of Coronavirus in Kawartha Lakes and the Health Unit is tracking 51 high risk contacts.
Officials are reminding residents to wear a mask, practice physical distancing and stay home when possible.
