49 Year Old Lindsay Man Charged With Impaired Driving

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 49 year old Lindsay man is facing impaired driving charges after police say they spotted open liquor in his vehicle.

On January 4th the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service were called about a possible impaired driver on Kent Street West in Lindsay.

Police say an officer located the vehicle and while speaking with the driver, the officer observed alcohol in the vehicle that was readily available to the driver.

The officer determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol and place under arrest according to police.

49-year-old John Sparks of Lindsay has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle – alcohol and drugs, impaired operation – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on March 4, 2021.
